Also, featured artists will perform a live art collaboration. You won’t want to miss this creative convergence of talent! This piece will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to our neighbors – Alice Birney Elementary School, which was struck by an arsonist on January 16, destroying the cafeteria, kitchen, outdoor eating area, auditorium. In addition, all the infrastructure for the school’s two afterschool programs, estimated at $50,000 worth of materials, was destroyed, including books, toys, playground equipment, games, videos, projectors and all manner of supplies. In an exemplary show of love and community, the neighborhood has rallied to their support to help raise funds that are not covered by insurance. We wish to do the same. 100% of the proceeds of this piece and 10% of all art sales for other paintings will benefit Alice Birney Elementary.
